In December 2009, Seiko celebrated the 40th anniversary of the birth of the world’s first quartz watch, Seiko Quartz Astron.
This important anniversary celebration will be celebrated in a variety of ways, with the opening of the 40 new products exhibition held in Tokyo in December, all inspired by Quartz Astron. What will follow is Baselworld 2010. The new performance of the innovative quartz watch and its beautiful design mark the great potential of this watchmaking technology.

The Seiko Power Design Project was held in Omotesando, Tokyo’s fashion district from December 1st to 6th. The 40 new designs feature the addition of modern weaving technology to the Quartz Astron design.
