Inspired by the famous Damier canvas, Louis Vuitton has launched two new Tambur Damier Cobalt chronographs. Louis Vuitton’s ‘V’ is like a symbol or sign, symbolizing the insider who has a precise set of values: sport, fashion and keeping in touch.
With its simple, image and resolute design, Damier has made it one of the most recognizable patterns in the history of leather products. Louis Vuitton’s LaFabriqueduTemps workshop dial maker took inspiration from it and reproduced the CobaltDamier canvas on the dial of the TamborDamierCobalt chronograph.
Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s beloved letter ‘V’ covers the entire dial and flange as a finishing touch. This design inspired LaFabriqueduTemps artisans, allowing them to fully demonstrate their creativity. The three sub-dials are perfectly laid out and ingeniously integrated, each retaining independent functions.
The Louis Vuitton Tambur Damier Cobalt chronograph is available in two complementary styles. The first uses a stainless steel case with a contrasting white and red finish, and a sky blue seconds hand, presenting a typical sporty look, while the rubber strap further enhances this prominent personality.
The second is 46 mm in diameter. The stainless steel case is finished with midnight blue PVD coating, supplemented by precious rose gold hue, which is more balanced and beautiful overall.
Through the sapphire crystal case back, you can admire the self-winding movement of the watch. At the same time, the case back is engraved with the first letter ‘LV’. The new TamborDamierCobalt chronograph features a patented Louis Vuitton replacement system with interchangeable straps. The wearer can adapt the watch to any occasion without the need for tools and create his own unique style. (Photo / text watch home Xu Chaoyang)
