Continuing The Aesthetic Concept And Exuding Elegant Charm—cartier Launches A New Drive De Cartier Series

The Drive de Cartier watch was born in 2016 and is designed for independent and elegant men. Whether wearing casual clothes or formal dresses, men wearing Drive de Cartier show their elegance and charm.

His watch also has a rich face. After the Drive de Cartier series of small seconds automatic winding watches, dual time zone day and night display watches and floating tourbillon watches, Cartier launched two new masterpieces equipped with excellent movement.

The two new works continue the aesthetic concept of the Drive de Cartier series, with a unique personality to explain the drive man’s lofty and free-spirited ambitions. This series of watches debuted at the 2016 Pitti Uomo Men’s Fashion Week in Florence, and performed the art of living with Cartier charm at the Palazzo Gondi residence.

Moon Phase Watch

This timepiece is equipped with Cartier 1904-LU MC workshop refined movement, with moon phase display at 6 o’clock. This complication accurately reproduces the moments when the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and second quarter reincarnate. It has ‘astronomical’ level accuracy and requires calibration every 125 years.

This watch faithfully continues the classic characteristics of the Drive de Cartier series: it is comfortable to fit, the case is rounded, the mirror is slightly raised, and the dial is decorated with simple white guilloché … The Drive de Cartier moon phase watch has 18K Rose gold and stainless steel models add a touch of complexity to everyday classics.

Ultra-thin watch

This new watch has a slim shape, showing mature and elegant charm, which is the best choice for low-key dresses. Compared with the basic models of this series, the thickness of ultra-thin watches is reduced by 40%, which is less than 7 mm. Frosted sunray dial, sapphire crystal, delicate alligator leather strap … every detail reflects the simplicity and beauty, and the pillow case adds extraordinary temperament. This timepiece is ultra-thin and slim, setting a new standard for men’s evening watches.

The Drive de Cartier ultra-thin watch has 18K rose gold and a limited edition of 200 pieces in 18K white gold. It is equipped with a Cartier 430 MC manual winding mechanical movement.

2017 Baselworld Patek Philippe Ref. 5320g New Perpetual Calendar Watch Recreate Timeless Classic

Patek Philippe launches a new perpetual calendar watch Ref. 5320G, remaking timeless classics. This watch not only correctly displays the date of each month, whether it is 28 days, 30 days, or 31 days, it also automatically displays the next day, the 29th day of February. The classic design is not afraid of the test of time, no matter the past, the present or the future!

The Ref 5320G watch has all the qualities that make collectors love, just like any perpetual calendar watch before it. It features a dial layout that has been a signature feature of Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar since 1941, with the day and month at 12 o’clock side by side with dual windows, and the analog date dial and moon phase display at 6 o’clock. Today, a small day / night display window (between 7 and 8 o’clock) and a leap year cycle window (4 and 5 o’clock) are newly added to the milky dial. Gold three-dimensional Arabic numerals and pointed fluorescent hands (reminiscent of Patek Philippe’s chronograph Ref. 1563 introduced in the 1950s), a large central seconds hand, and perfectly divided seconds to ensure the dial is clear read. Under the dial lies a sophisticated mechanical movement.

Uphold tradition and keep innovating

A new change in Caliber324SQ movement is that the perpetual calendar module uses four windows, which show: week, month, leap year and day / night change. The moon phase display is extremely accurate, with one day of error every 122 years. To match the movement is a retro-style case with a contemporary design. The three-tier lugs are inspired by the famous Ref. 2405, introduced in the 1950s. The Ref 5320G watch uses a ‘box-shaped’ sapphire crystal that rises significantly above the bezel to highlight the slim shape of the side of the case. The back of the case uses a sapphire crystal to reveal the mechanical beauty of the movement: bridges with chamfered polished edges, Geneva stripes and gold-inlaid engraving, Gyromax® balance with Spiromax® hairspring made of Silinvar®, and ball bearing suspension Fixed gold automatic disc. Travel time accuracy is also an example: the daily travel time error does not exceed -3 to +2 seconds, which fully meets the requirements of the Patek Philippe mark.

This ‘retro and modern’ Ref. 5320G perpetual calendar watch is paired with a large square scale crocodile leather strap in a shiny chocolate brown with 18K white gold folding buckle.
